Skill
The Lightpanda skill teaches a coding agent how to use Lightpanda: which interface fits a task, and how to call it. Add it once, then describe what you want in plain language instead of looking up commands.
See the source: lightpanda-io/agent-skill .
Prerequisites
- A coding agent that supports skills, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf. See the full list at skills.sh .
Steps
Install the skill
skills.sh
Needs Node.js :
npx skills add lightpanda-io/agent-skillIt asks which skills to add and which agent to target. Pick lightpanda, plus pandascript if you plan to save reproducible scripts.
Install Lightpanda
Ask your agent:
Install lightpanda for me.The skill knows the install script, the package-manager options for your platform, and the common quirks, so it runs the right command without you looking anything up.
Prefer to do it yourself? Run the one-liner:
curl -fsSL https://pkg.lightpanda.io/install.sh | bash
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"Other options: WSL2 on Windows, Docker, package managers.
Try it
quotes.toscrape.com is a public scraping-practice site built by Zyte: a fictional quotes catalog whose search page filters by author and tag through an AJAX form. Ask your agent:
Go to quotes.toscrape.com/search.aspx and find which tags Albert Einstein's quotes are filed under, then give me his inspirational one. This needs real interaction (select an author, wait for the tag list to reload, select a tag, submit), not a plain fetch. Which interface handles it depends on what’s set up: the MCP server if it’s connected, otherwise the skill falls back to running lightpanda agent --task "..." itself.
Or ask it to check an existing project instead:
I have an existing Playwright project. Check whether my tests would work with Lightpanda instead of Chrome, and flag anything that wouldn't.The skill knows the differences that matter when swapping in Lightpanda. For example, Lightpanda has no graphical rendering, so tests that rely on screenshots or visual layout won’t carry over, and Playwright connects to a running Lightpanda with connectOverCDP instead of launching its own Chromium.
