Lightpanda uses telemetry to track open source browser usage. Starting the browser and requesting a page trigger a telemetry event. We store data including the timestamp, the browser's version, the IP address, the browser's instance id, the CPU arch, the OS, the protocol and if a connection uses tls and a proxy. The browser's instance id is an UUID generated at the first start and stored in the app local directory in lightpanda/iid path. The app local directory depends on the user's OS.

The telemetry doesn't collect sensitive data, including but not limited to: environment variables, file paths, contents of files, logs, URL, cookies, headers, page content.

Lightpanda uses an internal database to store the data received by the telemetry.

You can disable telemetry by setting the env var LIGHTPANDA_DISABLE_TELEMETRY=true.

Lightpanda uses Slack to notify email subscriptions. This notification allow us to create an new account and send you your connection token.

Lightpanda uses an internal database to store your email for the cloud offer. You need to provide us with your email address if you want to subscribe to the Lightpanda cloud offer. This allows us to send you your connection token and maintain your account.

We will retain your information as long as your subscription to the cloud offer is active. We will also retain and use this information as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect Lightpanda's legal rights. Mailerlite may include single-pixel gifs (web beacons) in emails we send, which allow us to collect information about when you open the email and your IP address, browser or email client type, and other similar details. We use the data from those web beacons to create reports about our email campaign performance and pages visited.
