About Lightpanda

Lightpanda is building a headless web browser from scratch, tailor-made for machine usage.

Our mission is to redefine web interaction by enabling AI agents, large-scale scraping, and automated workflows to run faster, smarter, and more efficiently, without the constraints of legacy browsers.

We're an ambitious team with a strong open-source foundation, led by experienced founders with a successful startup exit history, and we're now funded.

About this role

We’re hiring our first Lead AI Engineer to help shape what a great browser for AI looks like. You will help to define our roadmap for AI native features, build compelling AI applications and create tools that optimize Lightpanda’s browser for AI agents and models interacting with the web.

As a founding member at Lightpanda, your role will be dynamic, offering opportunities to launch projects, ideas, and products into production.

What you will do

  • Forge partnerships and integrations with leading AI frameworks and platforms
  • Talk to the community and users to understand their needs from a browser built for AI
  • Identify, prioritize and build a roadmap for the features and tools that AI developers need most from a browser, eg. LLM integration, AI agent workflows

What we’re looking for

  • Engineering background with experience working in AI (LLM/ML)
  • Experience working with scraping, browsers or web automation
  • Comfortable working across the stack, including backend application development, infrastructure tasks such as deploying, monitoring, and scaling services, as well as front-end design and deployment
  • Natural curiosity to experiment with new ideas and projects while working closely with our community of developers
  • Ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup (bonus if you’ve already worked in a start up environment)
